Job summary

Tractor Supply is seeking a Team Lead, IT Database to oversee enterprise database systems across on-premise and cloud environments. You will lead a team of DB engineers, ensure high availability, DR/BCP, and enforce security and compliance standards.

The role requires 8+ years in IT with hands-on DB expertise, including Azure/AWS, Oracle, SQL Server, Snowflake, Couchbase, and Redis. A Bachelor’s degree in CS or IS is required; certifications are favored.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in IT with a focus on relational DBMS
• 2+ years leading or mentoring technical teams in DB/platform engineering
• Experience managing databases on both on-premise and cloud (Azure/AWS) environments
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Information Systems or related field
• Microsoft Azure DB Administrator Associate, Oracle OCP, AWS/Azure cloud certs preferred

Responsibilities

• Lead the operational and strategic management of Tractor Supply’s enterprise databases across on-prem and cloud
• Ensure availability, performance, recoverability, and security of data platforms
• Oversee backup, replication, and failover strategies aligned with RTO/RPO
• Own incident response for database outages and data loss prevention
• Mentor and develop a team of DB engineers and admins
• Coordinate with InfoSec and Audit for compliance and security policies
