Job summary

You will provide leadership to a team of database engineers and administrators and ensure availability, performance, and security.

Qualifications

• 8+ years IT experience focusing on relational database management and administration.
• 2+ years leading or mentoring technical teams in database/platform engineering.
• Experience with on-premise and cloud environments (Azure, AWS).

Responsibilities

• Ensure high availability, disaster recovery, and business continuity for mission-critical databases.
• Design, implement, and maintain backup, replication, and failover strategies (RTO/RPO).
• Oversee database performance monitoring, alerting, and telemetry standards.
• Own incident response for database outages and data loss prevention.
