Job summary

JLA Resourcing Ltd is recruiting for an IT Operations & Security Lead / Lead Systems Administrator onsite in Manhattan, Flatiron District. The role centers on owning and scaling the IT function as the company grows from ~100 to 500+ staff, building automated, scalable IT operations in a fast-moving AI environment.

You will own identity management, endpoint security, SaaS provisioning and collaborate directly with founders and senior leadership to drive security and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Proven experience owning end-to-end IT operations, ideally as sole infra/security and growing a team.
• Strong background managing identity platforms and access controls.
• Experience building scalable IT processes and infrastructure, not just maintaining existing environments.

Responsibilities

• Own the company's IT infrastructure, identity and access management systems, ensuring secure operations.
• Manage and enhance a Mac-first environment, including endpoint management and device security.
• Build automated onboarding and offboarding processes to scale the business.
• Lead corporate security initiatives, including access controls and endpoint security.
• Take ownership of the SaaS ecosystem: provisioning, licensing and vendor relations.
• Leverage AI and automation tools to streamline IT operations and reduce manual work.

IT Operations & Security Lead / Lead Systems Administrator - Onsite 5 days per week - Manhattan - Flatiron District - $170-200k

The Opportunity

The Role

• Own the company's IT infrastructure, identity and access management systems, ensuring secure and seamless operations across the business
• Manage and enhance a Mac-first environment, including endpoint management, device security, compliance and lifecycle management
• Build automated onboarding and offboarding processes that enable the business to scale efficiently
• Lead corporate security initiatives, including access controls, endpoint security and audit readiness activities
• Take ownership of the SaaS ecosystem, managing provisioning, licensing, vendor relationships and optimisation
• Leverage AI and automation tools to streamline IT operations, eliminate manual processes and improve efficiency across the organisation

The Person

• Tech stack - Okta, Jamf, Kandji, SentinelOne, CrowdStrike, Tailscale, VPN/ZTNA, MDM, macOS, Google Workspace, SaaS Administration, SOC2, ISO27001
• Proven experience owning end-to-end IT operations within a high-growth startup or scale-up environment - ideally where you've started as the sole Infrastructure / Security person and grown a team as the business scaled
• Strong background managing identity platforms, access controls, endpoint management and corporate security
• Experience building scalable IT processes and infrastructure rather than simply maintaining existing environments
• Highly proactive with a strong sense of ownership, accountability and the ability to operate independently
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, constantly evolving business where priorities can change quickly
• Passionate about automation and AI, with experience using technology to improve operational efficiency
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the confidence to work directly with founders and senior leadership
• A technical degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics or a related discipline.
