Job summary

University of Dayton seeks an Information System Security Officer (ISSO) to support the Air Force Rapid Sustainment Office (RSO). You will lead RMF activities, assess system vulnerabilities, and ensure documentation and STIG compliance across cloud and on-prem environments.

You will work with government cyber leads, coordinate ATO/IATT planning, and help maintain system security postures while meeting DoD/AF RMF policies and DoD 8570/8140 requirements.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field
• 3+ years relevant cybersecurity experience
• Experience with the NIST RMF process
• STIGs application experience
• DoD 8140 compliance: IAT II or higher including Security+ CE on hire
• Familiarity with the DoD IA Vulnerability Management program
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to obtain a Secret level security clearance
• US Citizenship

Responsibilities

• Serve as cybersecurity technical advisor and primary point of contact for the Program Manager and Information System Owner
• Assess systems for vulnerabilities and provide corrective recommendations
• Support RMF activities and system accreditation IAW DoDI 8510.01 and NIST SP
• Monitor system security posture and formally report adverse events
• Develop and update RMF documentation for each system
• Document RMF status within the DoD environment
• Apply STIGs to all systems
• Manage projects in compliance with DoD and AF RMF policies
• Support cyber/DoD RMF across cloud and on-prem configurations
• Coordinate IATT/ATO planning and execution
