Job summary

University of Dayton is seeking an Information System Security Engineer (ISSE) to support the Air Force Rapid Sustainment Office with RMF and ATO processes in a DoD environment. This role covers cybersecurity across software-intensive technologies, including cloud services, AR/VR, neural networks, and robotics.

You will work with ISSOs and system administrators across multiple facilities, develop RMF packages, and collaborate with client assessors to achieve accreditation status, while ensuring

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, IT, or related field.
• Security+ certification or equivalent DoD 8140/8570
• Minimum 5+ years cybersecurity experience
• Minimum 7+ years IT position experience
• Familiarity with eMASS and RMF processes
• Ability to pass DoD 8570 IAM II+ on hire
• Strong communication with clients at all levels
• US citizenship required

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with ISSOs and system administrators across multiple facilities.
• Process RMF ATO packages through the RMF lifecycle.
• Coordinate with the government cybersecurity team to meet goals.
• Present status to management and assist assessors in RMF.
• Assess systems for vulnerabilities and recommend remediation.
• Populate and maintain RMF documentation and eMASS entries.
• Support RMF activities toward system accreditation and DoD compliance.
