The Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory (APL) seeks a Senior Engineer/Analyst to lead ISRT sensor exploitation efforts. You will guide teams in developing algorithms, simulations, and analytical methods for ISRT applications, focusing on signal and image processing, data fusion, and multi-sensor optimization.

Ideal candidates hold a Master's in a related field, possess 7+ years of relevant experience, and can communicate results to sponsors.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in engineering, applied mathematics, computer science, physics, or related field.
  • At least seven years of relevant technical experience.
  • Participated as principal investigator or key contributor on funded research proposals.
  • Expertise in remote sensing, signal and image processing, data fusion, statistics, optimization, pattern recognition, ML/AI.
  • Experience developing computational simulations of ISR signals/images.
  • Domain knowledge in ISR processes, systems, platforms, sensors; kill chain concepts; targeting and C2.
  • Strong interpersonal and written communication; leadership experience.
  • Ability to multi-task and travel; eligible for TS/SCI clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and contribute to teams developing algorithms, mathematical-physical models, and prototype software for ISRT applications.
  • Lead and contribute to teams developing new signal processing, image processing, multi-sensor data fusion, and multi-sensor resource optimization techniques.
  • Lead and contribute to teams developing new computational simulations, models, and analytical methods and tools.
  • Lead and contribute to teams developing and analyzing new ISRT concepts and architectures.
  • Document and present the team's results to managers, sponsors, and technical workshops and conferences.
