Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Laboratory (APL) seeks a Senior Engineer/Analyst for ISRT Scientific Applications to lead teams in developing algorithms, models, software prototypes, and deployable ISRT tools. You will push advances in signal processing, image processing, and multi-sensor data fusion while guiding analytical methods and field experiments.

The role requires a Doctorate in a technical field, strong coding skills (MATLAB, Python, C++, Java), and the ability to obtain/hold security

Qualifications

  • Doctorate or higher in a technical field (engineering, math, CS, physics)
  • Proficiency in MATLAB, Python, C++, and Java; Linux environments preferred
  • Strong interpersonal and written communication skills; able to work in a team

Responsibilities

  • Lead and contribute to teams developing algorithms, models, software prototypes, and deployable ISRT applications.
  • Develop signal processing, image processing, multi-sensor data fusion, and resource optimization techniques.
  • Lead modeling, simulation, analytical methods, and ISRT concepts/architectures.
  • Drive field tests/experiments from planning to data analysis and reporting of results.
