Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking a Lead Inventory Control Specialist in North Jackson, Ohio, to ensure inventory accuracy and oversee counting processes on site. The role blends hands-on counting (about 50% of the day) with root cause analysis and permanent corrective actions alongside Inventory Specialists.

Responsibilities include maintaining FEFO and Lot Code tracking, updating ERP/WMS systems, and driving continuous improvement to achieve 100% accuracy, with a Monday–Friday schedule in a production

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 2+ years’ cycle count or inventory coordination experience.
• Experience building cross-functional teams or leading meetings.
• Strong cross-functional communication skills.
• Proficient in Excel; able to create clear spreadsheets and reports.
• Lift certification required within 30 days of start.
• Associate degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• Experience in a production environment preferred.
• Experience in a food production environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Physically count items in inventory using appropriate processes and forms.
• Build and use reports to identify and resolve inventory discrepancies.
• Reconcile and resolve any second inventory count records.
• Update ERP/WMS system with Count Results and related inventory data.
• Maintain and report KPIs around first-pass accuracy.
• Ensure Root Cause Report is completed by Inventory Control Specialist.
• Manage team to maintain 100% inventory accuracy.
• Drive cross-functional corrective actions plans to eliminate root causes identified and support the change process.
