Job summary

Mom's Meals is seeking a Lead Inventory Control Specialist to ensure inventory accuracy in our North Jackson facility. The role involves about half the day counting inventory, tracking FEFO and lot codes, and assisting with issues, with the other half researching root causes and implementing corrective actions alongside supervisors.

The position resides on-site at 134 S Bailey Road, North Jackson, OH, with a Monday–Friday, 7:00am–3:00pm schedule.

Qualifications

• High school Diploma or GED
• 2+ years' Cycle Count or Inventory Coordination experience
• Prior cross-functional team building experience, or prior cross-functional team meeting experience
• Effectively communicate cross-functionally in a collaborative manner
• Proficient in Excel and able to develop clear and concise spreadsheets and reports
• Must Obtain lift certification within 30 days of start

Responsibilities

• Physically count items in inventory using appropriate processes, and forms
• Build and use reports to identify and resolve inventory discrepancies
• Reconcile and resolve any second inventory count records
• Update ERP/WMS system with Count Results and other items that affect inventory integrity
• Maintain and report KPIs around first-pass accuracy
• Ensure that Root Cause Report is being filled out by Inventory Control Specialist
• Manage Team effectively to maintain goal of 100% inventory accuracy
• Actively drive continuous improvement initiatives that streamline and simplify the flow of product and associated system scans
• Proactively set up and drive cross-functional corrective actions plans to eliminate root causes identified and support the change process

Job description

The Lead Inventory Control Specialist is responsible for inventory accuracy in the facility. This position is a hands-on position, and it’s estimated that approximately 50% of a typical day will be physically counting inventory, ensuring proper FEFO, Lot Code tracking, and assisting with operational issues. The remaining time will be spent researching root causes and/or working with Inventory Specialist reviewing their root cause findings and proposing and implementing permanent corrective actions to supervisory and management staff.

Schedule : Monday-Friday from 7:00am - 3:00pm
