Job summary

KOPA, Inc. is seeking an Internal Medicine Nurse Practitioner to diagnose and treat health conditions at the Avante at Leesburg, with responsibilities spanning patient examinations, diagnostic testing, and therapy planning.

You will educate patients, supervise junior NPs, and collaborate with facility leadership to ensure high-quality care. Applicants should have a licensed NP with strong communication, teamwork, and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Nurse Practitioner in a skilled nursing facility.
• Minimum 1 year of supervisory experience.
• Expertise in primary, acute and chronic care.
• Knowledge of health care regulations and compliance requirements.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Examine patients and their medical records.
• Order and study diagnostic tests.
• Diagnose health conditions and illnesses.
• Prescribe medications and plan treatments.
• Maintain accurate records and schedules.
• Educate patients and families on diseases, prevention and treatment.
• Lead and mentor NP team; participate in staff training.
• Coordinate care with facility leadership and other clinicians.
• Provide coverage at other Florida facilities as needed (in-state travel).
