Job summary

Buckingham Search is assisting a well-established commercial bank in Chicago to hire an Internal Audit Manager. This role leads engagements end-to-end, builds testing programs, and communicates findings to senior management.

Hybrid work arrangement with 3 days in-office and 2 remote days in a downtown Chicago setting. Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor's in accounting/finance, 6–7+ years of audit experience in financial services, and a CPA/CIA/CAMS/CISA certification, with strong PM and regulatory

Qualifications

• 6-7+ years of external or internal audit experience in financial services.
• Experience leading audits and developing people.
• CPA, CIA, CAMS or CISA certification.
• Banking knowledge and regulatory familiarity is a plus.
• Strong project management and stakeholder influence.

Responsibilities

• Lead risk-based audit engagements from scoping to reporting.
• Develop test programs and oversee ICFR testing.
• Review workpapers and draft reports for sign-off.
• Provide credible challenge on controls to management.
• Support regulatory exams and annual audit plan.
• Coach audit staff and promote analytics/AI use in audits.
