Job summary

Tessera seeks a reliable Interior Electrician Lead to support electrical operations at the United States Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs. The role leads inspection, diagnosis, and maintenance of lighting, power distribution, and control systems while mentoring field electricians to ensure safety and code compliance.

Requirements include a minimum of 5 years in commercial/industrial electrical systems and a Colorado Journeyman license.

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of experience in commercial or industrial electrical systems.
Valid Colorado Journeyman Electrician License in good standing.
Experience on federal or military installations preferred.
Strong knowledge of NEC standards and electrical diagnostics.

Responsibilities

Lead inspection, testing, and diagnosis of electrical systems including lighting, motors, generators, UPS, controls, and intercommunication systems.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to field electricians and maintenance staff.
Plan and lay out electrical work using diagrams, blueprints, schematics, and manuals.
Perform routine maintenance and repairs on lighting systems and fixtures.
Install and repair outlets, switches, circuit breakers, sensors, and GFCIs.
Operate lift equipment to service elevated electrical systems.
Maintain records of inspections, repairs, and costs; support lockout/tagout procedures.
Handle on-call/standby duties as required.
