Job summary

Tessera is seeking a Power Production Technician at USAFA in Colorado Springs to ensure safe, efficient, and code-compliant operation of critical electrical power systems. You will coordinate with base personnel to maintain uninterrupted power and system reliability, including airfield lighting and backup systems.

The role requires 5+ years of experience, a Colorado Journeyman Electrician License or AFSC 3E052, and the ability to work on-site in a demanding environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in commercial, military, or industrial electrical systems and power production.
• Colorado Journeyman Electrician License preferred or AFSC 3E052 equivalent.
• Experience with power generation systems, switchgear, control panels, and emergency backup systems.

Responsibilities

• Install, operate, maintain, and repair electrical power generation systems and related equipment.
• Plan and organize electrical maintenance and repair activities per performance standards.
• Coordinate outages, emergency repairs, and upgrades with base users and stakeholders.
• Interpret blueprints, schematics, and specifications for electrical work.
