Job summary

SFCS Architects in Charlotte seeks an accomplished Interior Designer with extensive senior living design experience to join our team. The role blends hands‑on project work with leadership, mentoring, and client relationship responsibilities, ensuring design excellence across healthcare, education, and government facilities nationwide.

You will lead complex projects, mentor junior staff, and collaborate with Architecture, Engineering, and Project Management to deliver design solutions on time and

Qualifications

• NCIDQ Certification required.
• 15+ years of progressive interior design experience with leadership of complex projects.
• Senior living experience strongly preferred; healthcare, education, or institutional backgrounds valued.
• Proficiency in Revit; familiarity with SketchUp and/or AutoCAD; knowledge of Newforma/Enscape/Lumion is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop thoughtful, creative design concepts tailored to client needs and program requirements.
• Present confidently to clients and contribute expertise throughout decision making.
• Serve as a trusted design resource within the office, mentoring and guiding colleagues.
• Manage interior design across the project lifecycle, aligning with budget, schedule, and design intent.
• Coordinate across architecture, engineering, vendors and consultants.
