Job summary

BuildForm, a luxury residential design-build firm in The Hamptons, seeks an experienced Interior Designer to lead from concept to construction.

You will manage design development, produce detailed construction documents, coordinate with architects and suppliers, and guide clients through decisions to ensure a seamless, high-end outcome on remodels and new builds.

Applicants must be highly organized, client-focused, and proficient with design software.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or related field.
• 3+ years of residential interior design experience.
• Experience with remodeling and custom home projects.
• Strong understanding of residential construction methods.
• Excellent presentation and communication skills.
• Strong organizational and project management abilities.
• Familiarity with local building codes.
• Photography or styling experience for completed projects.
• Strong understanding of luxury residential finishes and furnishings.

Responsibilities

• Lead interior design from concept through construction completion.
• Prepare detailed construction drawings and specifications.
• Coordinate with lighting, electrical, and finish plans to ensure constructability.
• Lead client design meetings and presentations.
• Manage revisions while maintaining project schedules.
• Collaborate with Project Manager, architects, and subcontractors.
• Source materials and track lead times, prices, and orders.
