Job summary

Actalent in Philadelphia is seeking an Interior Architect to lead technical execution of interior architecture projects from concept design through construction administration. You will oversee BIM/Revit workflows, coordinate consultants, ensure code compliance, and mentor junior staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture is required.
• Active Architectural License is preferred, or candidacy in licensure exams is required.
• 8-12 years of professional architectural experience with a focus on interior architecture and commercial interiors.
• Strong commercial interiors experience including workplace and corporate interiors.
• Advanced proficiency in Revit, BIM execution, and coordinated construction documents.
• Experience coordinating multidisciplinary consultants and integrating their work into project documentation.
• Strong understanding of building codes, life safety, accessibility, and regulatory requirements for interior projects.
• Experience with construction administration (RFIs, submittals, site visits, punch lists).
• Ability to mentor and supervise junior staff and provide technical direction.
• Effective client interaction skills as the primary technical contact.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical delivery of commercial interiors projects from concept through construction administration.
• Manage BIM and Revit documentation for interior architecture projects, maintaining standards.
• Coordinate with engineering and consultants to integrate their work into construction documents.
• Oversee QA/QC reviews of drawings and specifications for accuracy and compliance.
• Ensure code compliance by researching building codes and accessibility standards.
• Serve as primary technical contact for clients, communicating requirements and schedules.
• Mentor junior staff and provide technical direction and reviews.
• Supervise technical production across schematic design, design development, and construction documents.
• Collaborate with project designers, managers, consultants, and clients to align technical solutions with goals.
• Perform site visits, verify conformance, and address field conditions.
• Respond to RFIs, review submittals and shop drawings, and prepare field reports and punch lists.
• Contribute to specification development and coordination of materials and systems.
• Support sustainable design implementation within project documentation.
• Assist with budgeting and scheduling from a technical perspective.
• Support regulatory approvals and permit submissions.
• Contribute to business development through technical interviews, proposals, and presentations.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Architecture
