Lead Intake Coordinator

Hourly Pay Range: $28.50 - $42.73

Job Summary

The Intake Coordinator Lead will be a fully licensed clinician who assists in the approval of notes, crisis plans, response plans, etc. completed by Options Counselors. This role will oversee the clinical needs of the Intake staff to ensure both DHS 34 and 36 (if needed) requirements are met. This includes reviewing and approving documentation and attending weekly staffing. The Intake Coordinator Lead will also provide direct service and conduct assessments of youth in mental health programming as needed.

Essential Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical consultation and supervision to Resource and Referral Line and Options Counselor staff. Make clinical recommendations and assist in the identification of programming to meet the needs of individuals to be served.
  • Conduct clinical and crisis assessments of youth and young adults with serious emotional, behavioral, and mental health needs, disability, substance use, and co-occurring needs. Assess risk and evaluate for harm to self and others (suicidal and homicidal ideation, etc.) as needed.
  • Assist in crisis assessment and development of crisis plans. Provide follow up contact with staff to confirm success of developed crisis plans in accordance with DHS 34. Review and approve all crisis progress notes, crisis plans, and response plans, ensuring clinical appropriateness.
  • In accordance with DHS 34 and 36, provide all weekly clinical supervision needed for intake team staff at a minimum of one hour per week and 30 hours per direct care per employee. This includes formal tracking and monitoring of logs to ensure adequate levels of supervision occur.
  • Audit the clinical documentation of those who are delivering direct crisis case management services to ensure it is meeting statutory and high-quality clinical expectations. Assist in the development of policies and procedures as needed.
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners and providers as needed to design program services in response to community needs. Provide community education regarding crisis management and mental health services.
  • Contribute to redesign planning and implementation of new initiatives and other tasks to support the Department of Health and Human Services, Behavioral Health Services, and Wraparound operations.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
  • Authorized to work in the United States.
  • Possession of a valid United States Driver’s License and personal vehicle, both able to be maintained throughout employment.
  • Possession of a Master’s Degree or higher in Social Services or a related field.
  • At least two (2) years of professional experience working with youth with Mental Health or Substance Use Disorders.
  • Licensed as at least one of the following: Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Marriage Family Therapist (LMFT).
  • Intermediate knowledge of all related computer and software applications, such as word processing and spreadsheets.
  • Knowledge of DHS 34 and DHS 36.
  • Knowledge of severe and persistent Mental Health Symptoms and diagnosing Serious and Persistent Mental Illness (SPMI).
NOTE

This original application is open to permanent residents of the United States. Appointee must establish residency in the state of Wisconsin within six months of start date and maintain such residency during incumbency.
