Job summary

Brown & Root Industrial Services in Arkansas is seeking a Foreman to apply, repair, and supervise insulation work on equipment, pipes, and tanks to control temperatures and reduce noise. You will read blueprints, select materials, cut and fit insulation, and install protective sheet metal covers on exposed surfaces.

On-site duties include moving materials, setting up work areas, and ensuring safety adherence for all crew members.

Qualifications

• Reads and interprets blueprints, instructions, and other documentation or plan work activities.
• Plan work and select proper tools and materials for insulation tasks.
• Demonstrates safety awareness and follows guidelines for hazardous materials on site.

Responsibilities

• Reads and interprets blue prints, instructions, and other documentation or plan work activities.
• Determines amounts and selects insulation material based on heat retention, location, surface, and equipment use.
• Moves materials and equipment to work locations and sets up the site.
• Covers or seals insulation surfaces or access holes with covers, sealants, or tape.
• Fits insulation around obstructions and shapes insulating materials as required.
• Installs sheet metal around insulated pipes for weather protection or damage prevention.
• Measures and cuts insulation using common hand tools.
• Prepares surfaces for insulation by applying adhesives or cement.
• Covers insulation with protective coverings and secures it to structures.
• Follows hazardous waste handling guidelines and safety rules.
