Job summary

The Virgin Islands Water & Power Authority seeks an Instrument Maintenance Supervisor to lead calibration, inspection, repair and maintenance of plant instrumentation. You may work overtime as conditions demand to keep 24/7 service.

Key duties include planning preventative maintenance, assigning work, training new staff, reviewing completed jobs, maintaining spare parts inventories, and enforcing safety policies and OSHA standards.

Qualifications

• Four years of progressively responsible experience in installation, maintenance, repair, and calibration of pneumatic, electrical, and mechanical instruments and remote control equipment.
• Four years as Instrument Technician 1st Class.
• Ability to read blueprints, specifications, and manuals.

Responsibilities

• Supervise adjustment, calibration, inspection, repair, and maintenance of plant instrumentation.
• Establish planned preventive maintenance schedule on all instruments.
• Assign work and review completed tasks for compliance with specs.
• Train and orient new employees to operations.
• Enforce safety regulations and OSHA standards.
