Job summary
Matrix Service Co. is seeking an Instrumentation Foreman to lead inspection and commissioning activities for instrumentation and control systems on industrial projects.
You will collaborate with project managers and engineers to plan outages and daily tasks, ensure safety and environmental protocols, and verify installations meet codes and project requirements. The role involves supervising journeymen, documenting progress, managing spares, and troubleshooting electrical and electronic field
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3–5 years of mechanical, industrial or refinery maintenance supervisory experience.
- Experience commissioning DCSs; experience with pneumatic & hydraulic systems.
- Experience with systems integration, instrumentation, networking, and communication.
- Experience troubleshooting and/or installing; must pass craft test.
Responsibilities
- Plan shutdowns, start-ups, and daily work schedules with project teams.
- Submit daily progress reports, track labor hours, and manage parts inventory.
- Perform preventive/predictive maintenance inspections using diagnostic tools.
- Supervise and schedule maintenance to minimize downtime and impact on production.
- Review P&IDs and control schematics to guide field installations.
