Job summary

Optimized Process Designs (OPD), a Koch Engineered Solutions company, seeks an Instrumentation Lead to guide instrumentation scope from development through commissioning in an EPC project. You will own specification, procurement, and SPI-driven design, interfacing with clients and vendors to keep schedules.

This role sits at our Katy, TX headquarters, Monday–Friday, and requires strong collaboration with Process, Mechanical, Electrical, and Construction teams.

Qualifications

• Requires engineering/tech degree at least associate level or higher.
• Experience directing instrumentation scope in an EPC project lifecycle.
• Demonstrated capability with SPI and instrumentation design standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead instrumentation scope from development to commissioning and turnover.
• Develop, review, and markup P&IDs in SPI.
• Own instrumentation specification, selection and procurement.
• Coordinate with vendors and procurement for quotations and PO issuance.
• Ensure documentation, indexes, datasheets, and trackers accuracy.
• Collaborate across Process, Mechanical, Electrical, Civil/Structural, Procurement, Construction, and Commissioning teams.
• Support construction and commissioning by resolving technical issues.
