Job summary

Olsson is seeking an Electrical Instrumentation Engineer to join our Data Center Facilities Engineering Design team in Dallas, TX. You will provide technical leadership for instrumentation and control systems, including plans, schematics, and one-lines, focusing on reliability and execution.

You will lead multi-discipline projects, review data sheets and control diagrams, and mentor engineers while advancing building-level instrumentation solutions for high-availability infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering is required.
• 7+ years’ experience in instrumentation and control systems within industrial electrical or hyperscale data center sectors.
• Expertise in distribution and generation instrumentation and control systems for building-level infrastructure.
• Understanding of ISA, IEC, IEEE standards related to instrumentation and control.
• Experience with DCS, SIS, and PLCs; capable of reading P&IDs and control schematics.

Responsibilities

• Lead instrumentation and control design for projects and define control schemes.
• Review datasheets, control block diagrams, and functional descriptions for instrumentation projects.
• Develop plans, schematics, and one-lines for electrical distribution systems.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to team members.
• Support incident investigations and mitigation actions.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver reliable design packages.
