Job summary

Olsson is seeking an Electrical Instrumentation Engineer for our Data Center Facilities Engineering Design team to support the instrumentation and control design for electrical distribution systems. You will provide technical leadership, create plans and schematics, and lead small to large instrumentation and control projects with a focus on reliability and execution.

Collaboration across disciplines is essential, and you will mentor junior engineers to grow as technical leaders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Instrumentation and Control Engineering.
• 7+ years’ experience in instrumentation and control systems in industrial electrical or hyperscale data center sector.
• Expertise in instrumentation and control systems for building level infrastructures (distribution/generation).
• Understanding of ISA, IEC, IEEE and related standards for instrumentation and control systems.
• Experience with DCS, SIS and PLCs and developing/reading P&IDs and control schematics.

Responsibilities

• Lead instrumentation and control design for projects and define control schemes to satisfy power system reliability requirements.
• Review data sheets, block diagrams, and functional descriptions for instrumentation projects.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance on programs and initiatives.
• Mentor and develop engineers and technicians across teams.
• Support threat mitigation actions and incident investigations related to instrumentation systems.
• Develop reliable electrical design packages for low and medium voltage infrastructure.
