CodeCampus is seeking a Lead Instructor to inspire elementary and middle school students in Ventura, CA. You will teach STEAM topics using our curriculum, collaborate with partner schools, and build positive relationships with students and parents.

Training begins promptly, with daily instruction Monday through Friday in the Ventura area. We value educators who can manage large groups, communicate effectively, and participate in our professional development program.

Qualifications

• Experience teaching and managing large groups of youth in an academic setting.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Access to reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
• Willingness to complete professional development training program.
• Availability Monday through Friday.

The Role

As a Lead Instructor, you will play a pivotal role in delivering engaging STEAM education. Your responsibilities will include:

• Collaborating with site staff at our partner schools.
• Leading engaging STEAM projects and activities for students using our proprietary curriculum.
• Teaching students in grades Transitional Kindergarten (TK) through 8th grade.
• Building trusting and respectful relationships with students and parents.
• Fostering a safe and supportive learning environment.
• Undertaking additional duties as assigned to support program success.

Qualifications

This role is ideal for both early-career and seasoned educators. Candidates should possess the following qualifications:

• Availability to begin paid training immediately and start instructing promptly.
• Consistent availability Monday through Friday.
• Proven experience teaching and managing large groups of youth in an academic setting.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Access to reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
• Willingness to complete our comprehensive professional development training program.

Compensation

The hourly rate for this position is $25.00, commensurate with experience. Opportunities for performance-based pay raises and advancement are available for long-term employees.
