Job summary

The Tennessee College of Applied Technology Athens is seeking a Lead Instructor for the Adult Education program in Hamilton County. This full-time role requires delivering classroom instruction to adults across levels and maintaining records with dedication.

The position is grant funded, 37.5 hours per week, reporting to the Assistant Director. The Lead Instructor supports student success, curriculum development, and professional development within the Adult Education department.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or related subject from an accredited college or university.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
• Ability to work with diverse faculty, staff, and student populations.

Responsibilities

• Deliver classroom instruction to adults at various academic levels.
• Coordinate with testing staff to schedule assessments and monitor progress.
• Administer TABE and CASAS tests after certified training.
• Enter attendance and test scores; maintain accurate records.
• Develop courses aligned to AE curriculum and student needs.
• Assist with student advising, recruitment, and orientation; support job placement.
