Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories, Inc. is seeking a Lead Instructional Designer to shape and deliver advanced training for SEL’s technologies. You will audit content, outline multi-day programs with SMEs, and produce interactive eLearning using Articulate Storyline and Rise.

The role requires 7+ years of technical training experience, a strong portfolio, and mastery of PowerPoint/Articulate tools. Located in Pullman, Boise, or Charlotte, with competitive benefits and ESOP participation.

Qualifications

• Degree in instructional design, educational technology, or related field.
• Portfolio showcasing sophisticated learning content across formats.
• 7+ years of experience developing technical training for diverse audiences.
• Strong ability to translate complex topics into engaging experiences based on adult learning theories.

Responsibilities

• Audit training content and propose a strategic learning path.
• Outline and storyboard multi-day instructor-led trainings with SMEs.
• Create interactive eLearning content using Articulate tools.
• Collaborate with video producers for animations and media.
• Review learner feedback and evaluation data for improvements.
• Partner with managers to tailor training solutions for customers.
• Explore AI, microlearning and emerging learning technologies integration.
