Job summary

University of Wisconsin Oshkosh seeks an Instructional Designer & Learning Technology Specialist to lead design, edtech, and multimedia development for READY RURAL. You will partner with faculty to create engaging, accessible learning for online, hybrid, simulation, and mobile environments, focusing on rural healthcare education and stackable credentials.

The role includes consultation on accessibility, managing projects, and building reusable resources while ensuring quality and inclusivity

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, Curriculum and Instruction, Learning Design, Media Production, Healthcare Education, or related field.
Experience designing online, hybrid, technology-enhanced, or multimedia learning experiences.
Experience with learning management systems, digital learning tools, instructional technologies, or media production tools.
Experience consulting with faculty, instructors, trainers, or subject matter experts.
Strong project management, communication, organization, and technical problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

Applies project management principles to course or media design, defining scope, milestones, and tracking progress.
Provides pedagogical consultation for instructors on instructional tools, technologies, and initiatives.
Establishes collaborative relationships to advance teaching and learning excellence.
Reviews courses and media for quality using accessibility standards.
Trains instructors to leverage technology and pedagogy effectively.
Works with campus partners across production stages of media development.
Creates and maintains documentation and a library of resources.
Designs learning activities and content using technologies to foster inclusive student experiences.
