Job summary

Sutter Home & Hearth in Seattle seeks a Lead Installation Technician to lead a small crew in high-quality residential fireplace and related product installations. This hands-on role emphasizes planning, safety, and craftsmanship with on-site leadership and customer communication.

We welcome candidates with HVAC, finish carpentry, or remodeling backgrounds; fireplace experience is not required and training will be provided on fireplaces, gas piping, and installation methods.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on skilled-trade or residential construction experience in rough-in and finish stages.
• Experience leading or training at least one other crew member.
• Ability to read construction plans, specs, and manufacturer instructions.

Responsibilities

• Lead a small installation crew while working hands-on.
• Install, uninstall, and service fireplaces, stoves, venting, and related products.
• Plan and sequence daily work to ensure safety and quality.
• Coordinate with homeowners, builders, inspectors, and other trades.
• Direct and develop your installation crew.
