Job summary

Facility Improvement Corporation (FICO) is expanding its Montana-based installation team with a Lead Installation Technician to supervise and grow local installation efforts in Missoula, Bozeman, and Kalispell. The role emphasizes hands-on installation of building automation systems, coordinating with multiple stakeholders, and training owners during startup and commissioning.

Ideal candidates are skilled tradespeople able to manage co-workers, read blueprints, and work with diverse contractors.

Qualifications

• Ability to organize and direct co-workers.
• Ability to work with building owners, contractors and vendors.
• Highly organized and detail oriented.
• Proficient at bending and installing conduit up to 1 inch in diameter.
• Experience with mechanical and/or electrical systems required.
• Ability to read blue prints and wiring schematics.
• HSD or GED required.
• Willingness to work overtime, varied shifts, and out of town as needed.
• Must pass federal background check.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

We’ve got a great installation team in Montana and are expanding our offerings in Missoula, Bozeman, and Kalispell. We’re looking for a Lead Installation Technician that wants to join a rapidly growing, Montana-based company that provides a people-oriented, professional work environment. The position is full time, and dependable year-round. If you’re a skilled tradesman with the desire and ability to lead a team of installers, you might be just the person we’ve been looking for.

Job Role

• Install and, as you grow the team in your area, supervise the installation of building automation systems.
• Work independently and be able to coordinate job installation and completion with FICO personnel as well as other contractors and subcontractors.
• Attend product training classes to develop, maintain and enhance building systems and controls expertise.
• Assist with job commissioning, start-up procedures, and owner training as necessary.

Qualifications

• Previous experience with mechanical and/or electrical systems required
• Ability to read blue prints and wiring schematics required

• Availability to work overtime, varied shift hours, and out of town as needed
• Ability to pass federal background check
• Current driver’s license and clean driving record
