Job summary
SLR Consulting (US) is hiring a Resident/Chief Inspector to oversee CT DOT construction inspection projects across Connecticut. You will lead field inspection teams, ensure contract compliance, and provide expert oversight on major road and bridge work.
The role requires 5+ years in inspecting CT DOT or similar projects, a Civil Eng/Construction Mgmt degree, and strong leadership and communication skills. We offer career growth, competitive salary, and comprehensive benefits.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management or related engineering disciplines.
- NICET Certifications with complementary experience will be considered.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
Responsibilities
- Provide Chief Inspector/Senior Inspector services for CT DOT Construction Inspection Projects.
- Review contract documents and coordinate with clients and contractors.
- Prepare records for oversight including daily inspection reports and testing protocols.
- Develop and maintain project records throughout construction and prepare estimates/change orders.
- Monitor, manage and execute material testing as required.
- Review subordinate inspection staff work including daily reports and tests.
