Job summary

ATANE Engineers in Connecticut is seeking a Senior Inspector with 5+ years of infrastructure construction inspection experience across roadways, bridges, watermain, sanitary, and storm systems, including work with CTDOT, CT-DAS and local municipalities.

The role focuses on supervising inspectors, performing inspections on large projects, and producing detailed daily reports, along with supporting project acceptance testing and ensuring safety compliance.

Qualifications

• NICET Level IV certification is required.
• EIT or CCM certification is required or preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of infrastructure inspection experience.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and train Inspectors Level I and II.
• Attend meetings related to assigned projects.
• Perform inspections on large, complex, or multiple projects.
• Submit detailed daily construction activity reports.
• Coordinate project acceptance testing.
• Inspect materials prior to installation and document results.
• Identify and report potential issues to the project team.
• Ensure compliance with the project quality system.
• Submit written reports and construction logs daily.
• Review contractor payments and safety plan compliance.
• Perform other duties as required.
