Penn Medicine is seeking a Lead Pharmacy Technician - Inpatient to manage day-to-day pharmacy activities in the inpatient area, support training of technicians and interns, ensure timely and accurate medication preparation, and coordinate with pharmacists for patient care.

The role requires PTCB certification, active Pharmacy Technician license, high school diploma, and 2–5 years of inpatient hospital pharmacy experience; strong organizational and communication skills; ability to lead and train

Qualifikationen

• Certified Pharmacy Technician - PTCB is required.
• Licensure as a Pharmacy Technician is required.

Aufgaben

• Coordinates activities within the assigned area and assists in rolling out and collecting metrics for management initiatives.
• Maintains knowledge of technician service lines and covers lines as needed; assists with productivity data.
• Provides a professional work environment and engages staff to achieve high-quality patient care.
• Trains newly hired technicians and interns and manages annual compliance and competencies.
• Works with the scheduler to ensure staffing coverage and scheduling accuracy.
• Covers absences and adjusts service lines as needed.
• Guides technicians to meet department objectives and health-system initiatives.
• Leads technician and intern meetings and performs quality assurance of documentation.
• Serves as primary point of contact during shifts for real-time workflow guidance and issue escalation.
