Job summary

Evenflo Company is seeking a manufacturing leader to drive safety, quality and productivity in the molding department. You will coach production associates, coordinate training, and lead cost-saving and efficiency initiatives.

The role requires strong communication, mentoring abilities, and hands-on problem solving with injection molding equipment; forklift operation is needed to move materials.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Three years related experience and/or training.
• Physical requirements: medium work; lift up to 50 pounds frequently and up to 10 pounds constantly.
• Ability to recognize visual defects per product specs; read, write and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and coach production associates to meet company objectives.
• Coordinate training of departmental employees and give timely feedback to the Plant Production Supervisor.
• Identify and assist in cost-saving and efficiency improvement activities.
• Develop plans to improve safety, quality, delivery and productivity.
• Lead 5S efforts and maintain safe housekeeping.Foster communication and mentor promotable employees.
• Troubleshoot processing problems with injection molding machines with technicians.
• Set up and start molding machines in absence of a technician.
• Accurately record waste and assist supervision with inventory control.
