Job summary

Amcor Flexibles, LLC is seeking a proactive Machine Maintenance Leader to guide daily maintenance activities on injection molding equipment. You will direct repairs, troubleshoot issues, and implement preventative maintenance to maximize uptime and product quality.

The role requires strong leadership, up-to-date knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems, and a commitment to safety in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This position is based in Kansas.

Qualifications

• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and mechanical drawings.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Experience with injection molding or similar manufacturing equipment.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a front-line leader for the Machine Maintenance Department.
• Direct and perform repairs, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance on injection molding machines.
• Investigate equipment issues and implement corrective actions to improve machine efficiency, performance, and scrap reduction.
• Stay informed on production priority changes and communicate updates to MM team members.
• Share necessary technical and departmental information with team personnel.
• Pursue training opportunities to continuously improve maintenance capabilities.
• Assist department personnel in obtaining appropriate technical training.
• Motivate team members to identify and implement improvements to equipment uptime and reliability.
• Facilitate administrative processes such as paperwork, documentation, and training coordination within the department.
• Take control of equipment during situations involving potential for personal injury or rapid equipment deterioration.
• Ensure a safe working environment and lead the department's safety initiatives.
