Job summary

The LEGO Group in Virginia is seeking a skilled Injection Molding Process Engineer to optimize molding processes and improve safety, quality, and OEE. You will analyze process data to reduce scrap, cycle times, and downtime, and document standard operating procedures.

You'll lead troubleshooting of complex molding issues, conduct root cause analysis, support mold qualification, and mentor technicians across teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of advanced injection molding experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Expertise in scientific molding, process optimization, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis.
• Experience with mold qualification, process validation, production launches, and continuous improvement in high-volume manufacturing.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally for training as needed.

Responsibilities

• Optimize injection molding processes to improve safety, quality, productivity, cost, and OEE.
• Analyze process and manufacturing data to improve capability, stability, repeatability, cycle times, scrap, and uptime.
• Lead troubleshooting of complex molding issues involving molds, machines, materials, automation, and process variation.
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to restore process stability and production performance.
• Coach and mentor Technicians, Setters, Operators, and Production Team Members on scientific molding principles and best practices.
• Serve as a technical resource for cross-functional problem solving and knowledge sharing across local and global teams.
