Job summary

MRP Solutions is seeking a Process Engineer for its Somerset, NJ site to qualify molds, lead process improvements, and collaborate with manufacturing on continuous improvement initiatives.

You will apply scientific molding principles, DOE/SIM studies, and data-driven reporting to deliver production-ready molds and processes for near-term commercialization. Strong communication and leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of hands-on process engineering experience in high-volume molding.
• BS in Engineering; plastics/mechanical/chemical preferred.
• Strong molding/processing background; injection molding focus.
• Experience with Stack Molds preferred.
• Caps/closures experience ideal with medical and packaging molding secondary.
• Experience with Systematic Molding (RJG, John Bozelli, AIM).
• Experience with hot runner systems (Husky, Manner, Mold Master); hot tip & valve gated.
• Demonstrated communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.
• Ability to think creatively and work cross-functionally.

Responsibilities

• Mold qualification using scientific molding principles.
• Support manufacturing with process issues.
• Deliver production-ready molds and processes to Somerset site.
• Qualify alternate resins with data-driven feasibility reporting.
• Conduct DOE and SIM studies including cavity balance, pack/hold, rheology, clamp tonnage.
• Assist root-cause analysis and CAPA.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship.
• Support CI and process optimization.
• Assist with process control and training development.
• Drive In Control & Capable monitoring.
