Job summary

Medix is seeking an experienced Injection Mold Design & Project Engineer to lead custom mold projects from concept through T1 sampling and handover. You will use SolidWorks to create robust 2D/3D tool designs while managing timelines, budgets, supplier coordination, and cross-functional collaboration to deliver production-ready tooling.

This role offers hands-on ownership, accountability for tool performance, and the opportunity to influence design standards across manufacturing.

Qualifications

• 3–7 years of hands-on injection mold design experience.
• Expert proficiency in SolidWorks for 3D mold design and 2D drafting.
• Proven experience driving tooling projects from concept through sampling and validation.
• Deep understanding of machining processes, EDM operations, mold steel selection, and polymer behavior.

Responsibilities

• Lead molded tooling design from concept to T1 sampling and handover.
• Translate part models into production-ready 2D/3D mold designs in SolidWorks.
• Manage timelines, budgets, supplier coordination, and ECOs.
• Collaborate with tooling, CNC, EDM, and press operators to ensure quality and on-time delivery.
