Commerce is seeking a Lead Software Engineer- Infrastructure to help design and build the foundational tech stack powering Open AI-driven commerce services. You will work on infrastructure that supports BigCommerce and related brands, collaborating with a distributed team to deliver reliable, scalable platforms with a DevOps mindset.

Qualifications

7+ years experience in Infrastructure or Software Engineering.
Experience with Puppet, Chef, or Ansible; we use Puppet.
Strong Linux system administration and scripting (Ruby, Bash).
Excellent communication across distributed teams and agile environments.

Responsibilities

Maintain and improve BigCommerce development environment.
Manage cloud hosted VMs in Google Cloud Platform.
Automate repetitive manual processes.
Document architecture and user features.
Educate engineers on tool usage and process improvements.
Assist in defining the team's roadmap.
Collaborate with engineers to gather requirements.
Create and monitor tooling health statistics.
Work with distributed teams worldwide.
