Job summary

PACS Group, Inc. is seeking an experienced Infection Control Nurse for Auburn Oaks Care Center. You will plan, implement, and evaluate the infection control program to meet CDC/OSHA guidelines and ensure universal precautions across the facility.

The role requires an active Alabama RN license and a nursing degree, with preference for long-term care exposure. You will lead committees, train staff, and monitor infections, reporting to the Administrator and Director of Nursing Services.

Qualifications

• Must possess a current, unencumbered RN license in Alabama.
• Nursing degree from an accredited college or university.
• 2+ years experience in long-term care preferred.
• Working knowledge of epidemiology, microbiology, infectious diseases, and aseptic technique.
• APIC certification preferred.
• CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, implement, evaluate, and direct the infection control program.
• Ensure facility complies with CDC/OSHA standards and universal precautions.
• Monitor infection control practices and conduct rounds across units.
• Prepare monthly summaries of resident infections and corrective action results.
• Participate in surveys and Infection Control Committee activities.
• Provide staff training on hand hygiene, PPE, and isolation procedures.
