Job summary

PACS is seeking an Infection Control Nurse to plan, coordinate, and oversee the organization’s infection control program across a long-term care environment. You will ensure compliance with CDC/OSHA and local regulations, and supervise aseptic techniques, isolation practices, and staff training.

Responsibilities include reporting infection trends to leadership, supporting surveillance, and collaborating with different departments to prevent disease transmission and maintain patient safety.

Qualifications

• Possession of a Nursing Degree and active RN license in this state.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate, coordinate infection control program per CDC/OSHA and local regulations.
• Prepare monthly summaries of infections and corrective actions; report to Administrator and DON.
• Lead Infection Control Committee efforts and collaborate with departments on aseptic technique and isolation practices.
• Develop staff training on infection control, PPE, and employee health programs.
• Assist in TB management, disease reporting, and incident investigations.
• Ensure disposal of contaminated materials, maintain lab support, and monitor sterilization processes.
