Job summary

The Learning Experience - Clinton Hill is seeking a Lead Teacher for our play-based early childhood development center serving children from six weeks to five years. You will co-teach and implement lesson plans that emphasize social and emotional learning, with both indoor and outdoor activities.

Applicants should have an Associate or Bachelor’s in Early Childhood Education or related field, and/or at least 5 years of teaching experience with infants to toddlers.

Qualifications

• Play-based engagement to develop social, emotional, physical and cognitive skills.
• Collaborate with staff to plan lessons focusing on SEL, themes, indoor/outdoor play, arts and hands-on activities.

Responsibilities

• Encourage positive student engagement using play-based activities.
• Co-teach with staff to execute lesson plans for SEL and curriculum themes.
• Perform childcare duties including diapering, feeding, cleaning, and nurturing.
• Take on additional duties as assigned by management.
