Job summary

Acquire4Hire in Vermont seeks a Lead Infant Teacher for our youngest classroom (6 weeks to 1 year). You will lead and manage the classroom, foster a caring atmosphere for children and families, and create a safe, developmentally appropriate learning environment focused on school readiness.

The role emphasizes daily observation of development, collaboration with staff and parents, and overseeing hygiene areas, diapering and personal care while promoting self-confidence and early problem solving.

Qualifications

• Experience caring for children.
• Vermont Early Childhood career ladder Level three.
• 21 college credits in related field and 12 months experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a classroom.
• Develop a caring atmosphere for children and parents.
• Provide an effective learning environment focused on school readiness.
• Ensure the safety of each child in all areas of the classroom and playground.
• Observe and evaluate children’s development and progress as directed by supervisors.
• Maintain order, appearance, and cleanliness of the classroom environment.
• Plan age-appropriate activities addressing physical, emotional, social, and cognitive needs.
• Encourage self-confidence, problem solving, and responsibility.
• Interact with children daily through circle time, centers, meals, play, and outdoor time.
• Foster ongoing communication with parents and collaborate with staff.
