Job summary

Guidepost Montessori in Raleigh seeks a Lead Infant Guide to shape early learning in a Montessori setting for ages 0–3. You will design a calm, attentive classroom and partner with families to support each child’s natural development.

You’ll lead classroom routines, observe development, honor individual rhythms, and collaborate with a team to create a nurturing community that fosters independence, curiosity, and confidence.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children ages 0–3 in group care settings.
• Alignment with child-led educational philosophies (Montessori, Reggio Emilia, or similar).
• ECE or Child Development credits and a Bachelor’s degree (any field) required.

Responsibilities

• Observe and support each child’s physical, emotional, and cognitive development.
• Respect and follow each child’s natural rhythms for sleeping, eating, and toileting.
• Prepare and maintain an orderly environment that fosters trust, movement, and exploration.
• Support independence by encouraging children to participate in care activities.
• Build warm, meaningful relationships with children and families; partner with parents.
• Lead and collaborate with classroom team members to create a strong, respectful community.
