Job summary

Hunter Foundry Machinery Corporation in Schaumburg, IL is seeking a Lead Maintenance Technician to oversee maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of production machinery and facility systems. The role requires hands-on leadership and proactive maintenance to ensure uptime.

Ideal candidates will have 5–7 years in industrial maintenance, with at least 2 years in a lead role, and strong knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems, plus PLC-driven equipment.

Qualifications

Minimum 5–7 years of experience in industrial or equipment maintenance.
At least 2 years in a lead or supervisory role.
Strong knowledge of mechanical, hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical systems, and PLC-controlled equipment.

Responsibilities

Lead daily maintenance operations, providing guidance and technical support.
Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
Plan and execute preventive and predictive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime.
Support installation and commissioning of new machinery and equipment modifications.
Maintain records of maintenance activities in the CMMS system.
Collaborate with engineering, production, and safety teams to improve reliability.
Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and company policies.
Train maintenance staff on repair techniques, safety practices, and equipment operation.
Coordinate vendor and contractor maintenance activities as needed.
Participate in root cause analysis (RCA) and continuous improvement initiatives.
