Job summary

Hussey Copper is seeking a skilled Maintenance/Automation Technician to support and optimize mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and automated systems in a heavy industrial setting. You will diagnose failures, lead inspections, and coordinate with contractors to install and commission equipment.

The role requires an associate degree or equivalent experience, strong mechanical aptitude, and PLC automation knowledge; CAD familiarity is a plus.

Qualifications

Associate Degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Strong mechanical aptitude with experience supporting industrial manufacturing equipment.
Experience troubleshooting mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and automated systems.
Knowledge of PLC-controlled equipment and industrial automation systems.
Experience with CAD software is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide advanced troubleshooting and technical support for mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and automation systems.
Diagnose equipment failures and perform root cause analysis to identify long-term corrective actions.
Lead machine Gemba walks, equipment inspections, and reliability assessments.
Direct maintenance technicians and external contractors during troubleshooting, repairs, and installations.
Support PLC programming changes and control-system improvements to enhance performance.
