Tom Trese Networking LLC is hiring a Lead Industrial Electrician for the Fort Atkinson, WI area. The role oversees 2nd shift electrical infrastructure, automation panels, and control circuits in a clean, automated plant.

You will diagnose complex issues, ensure NEC compliance, and maintain up-to-date electrical drawings while leading the shift team in safe, efficient operations. Requires 1+ years in automated manufacturing and the ability to work at heights.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of industrial electrical maintenance in automated manufacturing or packaging.
• Ability to read multi-page electrical schematics and three-phase power diagrams.
• Experience with MCCs, VFDs, sensors, and conveyor systems.
• Comfort working at heights and with aerial lifts.
• Knowledge of NEC guidelines and electrical safety Standards.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Shift Technical Lead for 2nd shift troubleshooting, installation, and repair of plant electrical infrastructure and control circuits.
• Perform active logic diagnostics to minimize downtime.
• Ensure NEC compliance and code updates for repairs and upgrades.
• Maintain master documentation and update electrical drawings reflecting field changes.
• Manage overhead infrastructure safety and inspection of power distribution networks.
• Uphold 5S and high-hygiene protocols in the manufacturing environment.

What You Will Be Doing (Daily Responsibilities)

• Serve as Shift Technical Lead: Act as the primary 2nd shift technical authority for troubleshooting, installing, and repairing plant electrical infrastructure, automated panels, and control circuits.
• Execute Active Logic Diagnostics: Trace complex electrical schematics and blueprints to rapidly diagnose component failures and minimize production downtime.
• Ensure NEC & Code Compliance: Perform all electrical repairs, rewiring, hardware updates, and component upgrades in strict accordance with National Electrical Code (NEC) guidelines.
• Maintain Master Documentation: Log daily shift maintenance activity, complete preventative maintenance (PM) workflows, and update electrical drawings to reflect active field modifications.
• Manage Overhead Infrastructure: Safely access, inspect, and service overhead power distribution networks using ladders, scaffolding, and aerial lifts.
• Uphold Plant Safety & Sanitation: Maintain an organized workstation adhering to 5S standards, allergen controls, and high-hygiene manufacturing protocols.

What We Are Looking For (Requirements & Qualifications)

• Industrial Electrical Background: 1+ years of industrial electrical maintenance experience in automated manufacturing, packaging, or continuous-processing facilities.
• Regulated Industry Exposure: Prior experience in food manufacturing, beverage processing, or similar highly regulated hygiene/safety environments preferred.
• Technical Schematic Literacy: Expert ability to read and interpret multi-page electrical schematics, three-phase power diagrams, and control logic prints.
• Automation Floor Acumen: Practical experience diagnosing issues across automated packaging networks, VFDs, sensors, motor control centers (MCCs), and conveyor systems.
• Physical & Heights Readiness: Full comfort working at heights, operating aerial lifts, and managing high-voltage electrical enclosures safely.
• Location & Authorization: U.S. Citizenship or Green Card holder residing within a comfortable 45-minute daily driving radius of the Fort Atkinson, WI area.

Preferred Technical Assets (Bonus Skills)

• Master/Journeyman Credentials: State Electrical Journeyman or Master Electrician license.
