Job summary

Hargrove Engineers & Constructors in Mobile, AL, seeks an experienced Electrical Engineer with instrumentation focus to lead design of complex electrical and automation projects. You will deliver 15kV/5kV equipment specs, perform load calculations, and provide field support while mentoring junior staff.

Candidates should have 6+ years industrial experience, BS or MS in Electrical Engineering, PE preferred, strong NEC knowledge, CAD skills (AutoCAD/MicroStation), and ability to lead small teams

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university is required.
• Professional Engineering registration is highly preferred.
• 6+ years of relevant industrial experience in electrical and instrumentation engineering.

Responsibilities

• Perform complete design of complex electrical and instrumentation engineering assignments under general supervision.
• Produce 15kV/5kV equipment specifications and electrical installation specifications.
• Develop conceptual layouts and cost studies to determine efficient design approaches.
• Produce installation details, motor control center single lines, electrical room layouts and related plans.
• Check calculations for accuracy and conformance to codes and standards.
• Provide technical guidance and lead small to mid-sized projects.
