Job summary

Ergon Inc. in Flowood, MS seeks a Senior Designer to provide technical leadership for drafting and design on capital projects across a national asphalt network.

You will develop complex 2D drawings and 3D models, oversee design coordination, and ensure constructability and compliance with engineering standards. You will mentor junior designers, review work from internal and external partners, perform clash detection and model reviews, and support field execution from RFIs to as-builts.

Qualifications

• 7+ years industrial design experience in asphalt/oil & gas, petrochemical, or related manufacturing.
• 2+ years in a senior/lead design role preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead design efforts for capex projects with multidisciplinary teams.
• Develop detailed 2D drawings and 3D models across piping, mechanical, civil/structural, electrical, and instrumentation.
• Review and approve drawings by junior designers or external partners.
• Conduct clash detection, model reviews, and constructability assessments.
• Provide design input based on field experience and industry standards.
• Mentor entry-level designers and drafters; support onboarding and CAD tooling training.
• Collaborate with engineers, project managers, maintenance teams, and plant operations.
