Job summary

One Shot Automation LLC in San Antonio, TX is seeking a driven Automation Project Manager to lead automation projects from concept to completion. You will coordinate engineers, technicians, and vendors to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery and maintain strong client communication throughout the project lifecycle.

The role requires 3+ years in industrial automation project management, familiarity with PLCs, HMIs and SCADA, and proficiency with MS Project or Asana.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of project management experience in industrial automation, controls, or systems integration.
• Familiarity with PLCs, HMIs, SCADA systems, and automation technologies.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a deadline-driven environment.
• Strong communication and client-facing skills with a customer-first mindset.
• Proficiency with project management tools such as MS Project, Asana, or similar platforms.
• PMP certification or equivalent project management credential is a plus.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Technology, or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Plan, execute, and oversee automation projects from initiation through delivery, ensuring on-time and on-budget completion.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams including engineers, technicians, and vendors to align project goals and milestones.
• Develop detailed project scopes, schedules, and budgets for industrial automation systems.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing regular project updates and managing expectations.
• Identify and mitigate project risks, resolving technical and logistical issues proactively.
• Review and approve technical documentation, including wiring diagrams, PLC/HMI specs, and system designs.
• Conduct project closeouts, site commissioning support, and post-installation evaluations.
