Job summary

One Shot Automation LLC is seeking a driven Automation Project Manager to join our San Antonio, TX team. You will lead cutting-edge automation projects from concept to completion in a fast-paced, innovative environment, coordinating engineers, technicians, and vendors.

You will plan scopes, schedules, and budgets, serve as the primary client contact, and mitigate risks to ensure on-time delivery. A strong communication style and PMP is a plus.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of project management experience in industrial automation or controls.
• Strong communication and client-facing skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, execute, and oversee automation projects from initiation through delivery, ensuring on-time and on-budget completion
• Coordinate cross-functional teams including engineers, technicians, and vendors to align project goals and milestones
• Develop detailed project scopes, schedules, and budgets for industrial automation systems
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing regular project updates and managing expectations
• Identify and mitigate project risks, resolving technical and logistical issues proactively
• Review and approve technical documentation, including wiring diagrams, PLC/HMI specs, and system designs
• Conduct project closeouts, site commissioning support, and post-installation evaluations

Responsibilities:

• Plan, execute, and oversee automation projects from initiation through delivery, ensuring on-time and on-budget completion
• Coordinate cross-functional teams including engineers, technicians, and vendors to align project goals and milestones
• Develop detailed project scopes, schedules, and budgets for industrial automation systems
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing regular project updates and managing expectations
• Identify and mitigate project risks, resolving technical and logistical issues proactively
• Review and approve technical documentation, including wiring diagrams, PLC/HMI specs, and system designs
• Conduct project closeouts, site commissioning support, and post-installation evaluations

Requirements:

• 3+ years of project management experience in industrial automation, controls, or systems integration
• Familiarity with PLCs, HMIs, SCADA systems, and automation technologies
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a deadline-driven environment
• Strong communication and client-facing skills with a customer-first mindset
• Proficiency with project management tools such as MS Project, Asana, or similar platforms
• PMP certification or equivalent project management credential is a plus
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Technology, or a related field preferred
